First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Thats right this means this should be my first drawing to uploaded THIS year! Not only that but also my FIRST digital drawing to be uploaded also here (lol too many laughs). Um since I'm a beginner using a tablet and SAI, please forgive me for the mistakes ;w; I made some adjustments on photoshop, though.

yeah I know it sucked so much but I'm glad to draw her once again.
This is my contest entry for ~ari--hime which is to draw your favorite mahou shoujo. I think the contest needs more entires so feel free to join ^^
And this is Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica (one of the most depressing yet amazing animes I've ever seen. Can't explain it, just watch it). I actually watched it like 2 years ago (wow its been awhile and I can still remember it).
SPOILERS ALERT:
At first, I hated Homura because she acted like a bitch and like if she doesn't care about anything. It irritates me every time she stops Madoka from being a magical girl. Then later on, I saw how much she gotten through a lot going back to time trying to save her friend. And because of that, I suddenly fell in love with her character. I cried at the last episode along with her because she didn't got what she worked hard for.
Luckily she still have hopes on her. This should be related well with my favorite scene from the finale.

sorry i haven't commented in your art in forever ;___; i've been so busy and stressed that i have not done a good job of keeping up with my friends' works.

i like the theme of this picture, i think it fits her personality well ^__^
i like the coloring of the skirt but the coloring of the shirt could be a little smoother, i think. but i like how you used multiple colors and not just white. a lot of people don't do that.
sob, madoka magica is so depressing... yet kinda happy at the end and IT WAS AN AMAZING ANIME I LOVE IT <333333 and madoka is my icon, obviously. XD (ohhh that reminds me, i have to draw a picture for you soon, you know, the one i owe you in exchange for making me an icon. but actually hani is doing an icon family too i think... if i'm in that icon family, i will just display your icon on my profile page and give you credit but i won't use it as my avatar until later. sorry ;___; )
